Final Reflection for the Subject

Wrapping up my PATHFIT journey: growth, challenges, and achievements.

This semester has been an eye-opener for me. As someone who’s not exactly fond of dancing and tends to have a stiff body, I wasn’t sure what to expect from PATHFIT 3. At first, the idea of focusing on dance as our main activity felt intimidating, especially since I don’t really move gracefully. But I was pleasantly surprised as I got deeper into the course. It was a shift in perspective for me, where I started to see dance not just as a physical activity, but as something fun and energizing.

The most significant takeaway for me was realizing how much dancing can improve both physical and mental well-being. Initially, I thought it was just about movement, but the way it helped me release stress and gain more energy was a revelation. Even though I’m still not an expert, I’ve come to appreciate how much it has helped with my focus, coordination, and overall mood. It wasn’t just about following the steps—it was about enjoying the rhythm and letting go.

This course made me rethink my daily habits and the importance of making time for something as simple as dancing. It’s not just exercise, it’s a form of self-care. It made me realize how important it is to stay active, to push myself outside my comfort zone, and to find joy in the process. I now look at fitness differently—it's not just about the end result, but about enjoying the journey and finding balance in life. I’m grateful for how much I’ve learned in this class, and I know that dancing will remain a part of my routine moving forward, not just for fitness but for my mental well-being as well.
